What's on my easel

I had a whole 2 hours to myself yesterday while hubby took the two boys out, a very rare occasion indeed.  I decided I'd do a small oil painting and remembered about a photo of a crimson rosella I had permission to use as a reference so I set about painting it.  I wanted to keep it nice and loose with bold colours.  This is how far I got in 2 hours...

    A good 2 hours spent and very nicely done too. You've certainly captured the colours - have seen these birds around here and their colouring is quite stunning.

      Thanks Lyn :) We don't get crimson rosellas right where I live but I've seen them many times elsewhere, their colours are certainly stunning
