This is my favourite species of bird, the Eastern Rosella. I get them in my backyard sometimes. Thanks to photographer Eric Yan for the photo reference. Just started blocking in the colours and doing some detail in the face, hope to work on it more tomorrow.
Looking good:o)) I get many of them too - sometimes they make so much noise you tend to think there must be a gang of them - but it turns out there are only about 3 or 4 of them LOL!

Thanks Lyn! Yes, they tend to travel in small numbers I think, we only ever get them in pairs or trios when they visit
