Started this short haired chihuahua today by the name of Caleb, this is a dog of an artist friend.

Finished the Musk Lorikeet yesterday, really loved using these colours.

Eastern Rosella finished

Eastern Rosella - work in progress

This is my favourite species of bird, the Eastern Rosella.  I get them in my backyard sometimes.  Thanks to photographer Eric Yan for the photo reference.  Just started blocking in the colours and doing some detail in the face, hope to work on it more tomorrow.

Spaniel finished

It's amazing how you can see your work through different eyes once it's scanned and on the computer, I look at this now and see all sorts of areas I'd like to touch up but I'm going to call it finished  and move onto the next project :)

Cocker Spaniel progress

Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel WIP

Started on this spaniel today, reference is from a great group on facebook called "Artist Reference Photos" where people post photos for artists to use.  It's really great because as an artist it is difficult to find photos to use sometimes, not all photographers agree.  This spaniel is going to be quite difficult I think, particularly the curly ears, but I'm looking forward to the challenge, it's all good practice :)

Chaffinch finished

Finished the Chaffinch today, I decided to have him perched on a branch instead of the bowl that was in the reference photo.  Really pleased with how it turned out.  Prints of this drawing can be purchased through my Redbubble shop.
