Eastern Rosella (again!)

Spent all afternoon drawing another Rosella.  This time on good quality watercolour paper.  This is the result!

Eastern Rosella

Preliminary sketch and colour study of an Eastern Rosella.  These are my favourite birds and I'm lucky enough to get them in my yard sometimes.  I did this with watercolour pencils in a sketchbook but unfortunately the paper didn't handle the water very well, so I'll be doing another version of this soon using proper watercolour paper :)

The Nest

I should be working on my canvas but had this idea for a new drawing.  I'm calling this "The Nest".  Pastel pencils on pastel paper.
